Five yrs. ago I had a sudden weight gain along with these other symptoms - hair loss, dizziness, extremely dry skin along with acne and fatigue. It was also during that time I was diagnosed w/ ulcers and Irrital Bowl Syndrome. I've been to so many Doctors (specialist)and no one can give me any answers. I had the same thing about 15 yrs. ago. Then low and behold it all went away as quick as it came on. Only now it's back and holding on. I've been scanned, x-rayed, poked and prodded and still no answers. I have a very understanding GP who knows I'm not crazy and he is a bit worried about me and also his son. When I had this 15 yrs. ago, his own son had all the same symptoms. When I get my dizzy spells it's caused by a high pitch noise or the color red such as traffic lights, they thought possibly epilepsy, test revealed nothing in the brain, but I did stop breathing also my blood pressure would drop during these dizzy spell, but recently its been going up during them. If anyone has any ideas or point us in the right direction, I would so appreciate it. Thank you.

You should get your thyroid function tested (simple blood test). My MIL has all these symptoms and turns out she had severe hypothyroidism! Good luck!
