It is rather embarrasing but when I am aroused in any way (even accidentally, by friction) I have an excessive amount of discharge. I never need lubricant to have intercourse, and some men have been turned off by it. I have even had times when I have made huge wet spots in the bed. Please bear in mind that this is BEFORE orgasm.
Is this abnormal? I just was checked for STD's last month and came back clear on all the tests, as well as on my Pap Smear. Is there a way to change this, as it is kinda icky and embarrasing to the point where I don't want to have sex anymore.

Hi! I found it highly unlikely that some guys would be turned off by excessive discharge. I reckon they can put up with almost anything.
But I understand how you must feel. I also have a lot of clear discharge, had tests and came back negative and I realized it is normal.

Ok, I never wet my bed but I have a lot on my panties. Although we are supposed to have the most mucus around ovulation, I find that I have the most just around the beginning of my periods.
I also get excessive amount of mucus when I think about sex and when getting aroused. However, I am not bothered by it. After all, better to have more than not at all, then your sex would be impossible.

Are you using any birth control pills? They could be the cause because then your body gets more estrogen that is responsible for excessive wetness. You may try to contact your gynecologist and see if she could prescribe or recommend birth control pills with lower levels of hormones.
Sometimes, a lot of sex can cause too much mucus.

Thank you for letting me know I am not the only one. There was one who was weirded out by it, I guess turned off was the wrong choice of words hehe. I do experience discharge like that when thinking about sex or getting aroused as well, and I am starting to think that it is probably pretty normal, just a little wetter! I do not take birth control, I am married and I had a Tubal Ligation 4 1/2 years ago. I don't know if that is a factor at all, but I am starting to be less concerned about it at time passes. There was a time when I was single and starting to date again and I was nervous about it because i didn't know how someone who I was not already aquainted with would react, and then I had a boyfriend who mentioned it a lot.
I think that everything will be fine in the end, I just have to come to terms with the fact that it is probably more of a helpful thing that hurtful, and that some men might actually like it. Who know with guys, they don't even know themselves sometimes. Thanks!

I also have excessive mucus. My panies are always wet. I go to the doctor regually and everything is fine. I do take birth control pills, which can be a factor. My steady boyfriend thinks he muct be the greatest man on earth because I am so wet. LOL! I'd tell him but I don't want to kill the fantacy! LOL!

I am so frustrated with this excessive discharge. I'm hoping someone with a miracle pill can answer my prayers. I don't have the discharge being aroused or anything...LOL...I don't even feel the urge of being intimate with my husband because it's always too wet. I sometimes have to where tampons just so I won't feel the icky discharge feeling when I'm standing or even laying down. Atleast I don't feel like an alien now, knowing that others are going through the same thing.

Hi im a newbie and im 17. i think i'm experiencing Excessive Discharge too plus itching in the hair.. the mucus watever has a smell but not fishy or something, it has just a smell.. but i am not so sure bout it or what it is really, how it looks like.. literally.. now im bothered because i never had sex (yet, hehe) but i easily get aroused & wet with movies, lines from novels or articles i read, just by thinking of some sexy & nasty scenes & when i watch porn it takes time before i can get over the feeling. and also wen i got so intimate with an opposite sex, my arousal was so intense that made me want to Do It. ... even on ordinary days, i always have something on my panties. i think i need help. is ds just psychological? what do i do?

I have the same thing. I'm still a virgin as well. Its been happening for a while now and I have no clue what this means or anything. I've looked through symptom books and they all say itchyness and pain while urinating and i dont have either of those. its just the mucus and it has a weird odor. i can't explain what it smells like. Like how you said, its just a smell.

I totally feel ya -- I have the same thing...and my tests are all normal. I know some people have more discharge than others, and it does get a little annoying..but I guess as long as we're all healthy and can fool the guys into making them think they're just really good haha, then we're all ok. Just wear panty liners to keep the undies all clean Smile I guess that's all I can really say.
