I was recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes based on blood test of 126 for Glucose, 251 Tri, and 238 CHL, 100 pounds overweight, and many of the symptoms for Hyper and Hypo. I was in pre-diabetes range on and off for about 10 years based on one physical per year. Considering my obese condition, my blood pressure always seems to be normal 120/78 and no higher.

For the past couple years or so I get these tingling sensations and long lasting shooting pains in the upper part of both hands and feet where the skin feels cool to the touch, but feels like I just got a severe sunburn. The upper skin layers on both large toes are always numb (don't feel even pin pricks), but they both look ok. I also get a pain in the leg muscles directly above my knee caps about the same time.

I have a repeatable skin infection on my head where little lumps with puss accumulates at the hair follicles (bacteria) being treated. Dry skin inside my ear canal, above my eyelids, and sometimes itchy and dry skin on my shins.

I have dry eye syndrome and my eyes go through fuzzy periods all day long, and based on monitoring sugar levels, it appears more evident when my level is above 103.

Anyway, are the burning, numbness, and skin problems all related to the diabetes, thing? If I get my sugar under control will I be able to feel the skin on my toes again?

I am not on any medication, altered my diet in accordance with Diabetes Diet plans and a lot of education. I lost over 20 pounds in past 5 weeks.
