Hi. I have a delicate problem and I was hoping that you could give me some advice on this matter. Few days ago, while I was urinating, I’ve felt discomfort on passing urine. At first, it didn’t bother me much and I didn’t pay too much attention on it, until I’ve noticed blood in my semen while masturbating. That got me really worried. Could it be from to frequent masturbations or is it something else, like some urinary infections or similar…? Thank you

First, I don’t think it’s some infection because they rarely cause bleeding from urethra. Because your bleeding is connected with masturbation and ejaculation- all symptoms you mentioned lead to one condition, disease called prostitis.
Prostitis is inflammation of the prostate (a gland beneath the bladder that produces components of semen). Acute prostitis can be associated with lower urinary infection or associated with sexually transmitted diseases, but more often it’s caused by trauma, especially during sex or sport or by stress and depression. I would advise you to take hot baths and avoid sports in which prostate suffers mechanical pressure like cycling or horse riding. If that doesn’t help then I would advise visiting your doctor for appropriate medical treatment.
