Could I prevent diabetes type 1 in my children?

I and my husband both are suffering from diabetes type 1. We live almost a normal life, but nevertheless we always have limits for some things. We have two children. So far they are fine and healthy. But I still wonder Could I prevent diabetes type 1 in my children? Is there some procedure?

I had the same dilemma with my wife. For several years we were searching for procedures and treatment. Unfortunately our quest was not successful. The only thing we have found was some experimental, immunosuppressive treatment done on animals. Nevertheless we continue our search, hoping that something may appear. For now I have not found any valid way for prevention of type 1 diabetes. Maybe you can try your own quest and inform as if you find something.
