I've noticed that while it seems to effect short term memory....it has enhanced old memories and brought to the surface many things i had forgotten. Not to mention the "problem solving" degree it carries. I am a electronics designer, Many times Ive been "stuck" on a problem....smoke a little weed...suddenly, there are numerous solutions that have surfaced and problem solved!!
WORKS FOR MEEEEE!
WORKS FOR MEEEEE!
Weed is addictive and I'm tired of people posting that it's not! I don't think any of them has an understanding of chemistry...but it's a common myth among people who smoke pot that you can't get addictive. It's totally untrue... Thanks for standing your ground, guys.
I've seen some bad and biased articles on marijuana and on the whole this is quite accurate. although i did find 2 niggling issues (if thats a word);
first of all marijuana doesn't contain cancer causing agents, nor have scientific studies shown a link between cancer and marijuana use. although it does have carcinogens as does any smoke of any burnt material, it doesn't have tar or anyhting like the hundreds of chemicals in tobacco, as many articles wrongly suggest.
secondly, it is definately not ADDICTIVE - where the confusion comes in is that although it is not addictive, it is habitual. The difference being it does not form a physical or phycological dependance for the drug, it merely becomes something people are used to doing, simliar to people who smoke to keep their hands busy or people who wake up and automatically drink coffee. Infact, it has been proved that on a scale of habitualness, (sp?) marijuana ranks below caffeine. peace out, smoke weed e'ery day.

Hmm... Well All I have to say is that, I don't have an addictive personality. Yet I do belive that im addicted to marijuana. I have a bad time sleeping at night. Of course im stoping b/c thats dumb but I am proff you can become addicted..... Again I smoked everyday for 2 or so years... How long did it take before I had to idk? LOOONGG time
Personally I think that marijuana should definitely be legalized. There are too many people on here that are just stoners that smoke just to get as F&%#%D up as they can. Getting a bunch of people like that and going and whining to the government is not how we are going to get it legalized. There are also a lot of people on here, like me, that use it for medicinal purposes. I'm realistic about things. I know that if you inhale smoke whether is cig. smoke, pot smoke, or campfire smoke it's going to affect your lungs no matter what it is. Even if you couldn't eat it or use a vaporizer we would just need to prove that the benefits outweigh the bad effects. I think that pot really can mess someone up mentally. For a long time I didn't think this was the case because that's what everyone in high school told me. I have seen peoples lives get destroyed from smoking too much to where they just didn't care about anything anymore. I think that this is an effect that we need to teach kids and adults about and explain that this is a risk. Smoking needs to be done in moderation. Also, if it was legalized the government could put an age on it. I have two friends who started smoking in 3rd grade. This messes a kid up. Both of them have severe depression and are also on other, more serious drugs. If legalized the government would care that your ten year old isn't smoking, where as a drug dealer or even an older sibling, really doesn't care if they get hooked or messed up from it. I am eighteen and started smoking about a year ago. For all my life I've dealt with depression and anxiety. I smoked a few times every two weeks until a month ago when I quit for family reasons. For that year I never had a break down, never had an anxiety attack, and was taken off my antidepressants. I also had more energy and even got a 3.8 GPA which is the highest I got in highschool. After quitting, my depression and anxiety was back so now I'm trying to find a new med. I just wish that it could be legal because I'm sick and tired of trying to find a new med when I KNOW that this works and this past year is proof. We just need to be realistic about legalizing it and prove to the government that we're not just a bunch of stoners wanting to get high without going to jail.
