I have incredibly sensitive skin and salicylic acid burns the heck out of my face, and sulphur dries out my skin so badly that I have had to use lotion for weeks after giving it a try. I think that benzoyl peroxide is the most effective treatment that I've found but I know that's really just speculation on my part so I hope that anyone else out there could provide support for me or something. Thanks!
