I just got my results from a CT abdomen/pelvis scan due to recent persistent and progressive left sided pain radiating to the lower back, after a total hysterectomy. Results read: Slight dilatation of the pancreatic duct and the distal common bile duct near the ampulla of vater. No choledocholithiasis. Recommend ERCP. No findings of gallstones, liver, spleen, pancreas, adrenal glands, kidneys, ureters, bladder appear normal, no pelvic mass present. Opacified bowel loops appear normal, no pathologc adenopathy in the abdomen/pelvis, no evidence of ascites. Images thru lung bases demonstrate no significant findings. What does this all mean? My GP couldn't explain, she just read the results to me and recommend me to do a followup ERCP.

Hi
I am scheduled tomorrow for an abdominal and pelvic CT scan with both oral and iv contrast. I had an abdominal ultrasound last Friday and was contacted by the doctor's office that same day that there was an incidental finding in my kidneys and they want to check it out. The nurse said it's probably benign but they want to make sure. That's all the info I was giving. I have been having issues ----really for the last two years but more so since January of this year. I thought it was thyroid related as I have had to go on medication for that back in December of 2007. I have gained about 20 pounds since this January and am not eating very much at all, distended and bloated abdomen, feeling of fullness all the time---so that is why I am unable to eat very much-----and when I do eat my abdomen just bloats more no matter what it is that I eat. I look like I'm about 6 months pregnant. My abdomen is tender and I feel like I'm carrying around a bunch of lead in my stomach. I feel fatigued and like I'm dragging myself around. I work during the week----so on weekends I just rest alot. I had been trying to walk about 12 to 15 miles per week but for the last 3 to 4 weeks my stomach has really been bothering me so I haven't. Does anyone out there have any of these issues? I guess I'll find out soon enough hopefully from the results of my CT scan?
