I know it's normal to bleed the first few times you have sex, but is it normal for the bleeding to last days (it's not heavy bleeding, just staining)? Also, when will I be able to have sex without bleeding?

Hello there! Can you explain your bleeding a bit closer?
Are you saying that you have been bleeding ever since you had sex for the first time? When was this? Or, you are bleeding every time after each intercourse?
There could be many reasons for bleeding after sex. Any reason needs medical evaluation, so a visit to a gynecologist is inevitable. Have you been to a gynecologist before? If not, this is the best time to start.
You should know that every woman after turning 18 needs regular vaginal check-ups. They don’t have to be so often if there are no symptoms but once in 6 months-1 year would be sufficient.
My vaginal bleeding was due to cervical polyps. Cervical polyps are growths that occur in the cervix, the beginning of the uterus. They are usually not cancerous, but they are taken for biopsy each time they are taken out. I had symptoms similar to yours and additionally I bled after my periods would end. I had them removed at the doc’s office.
There could be other reasons but the best answers you will get from the gynecologist.
Your vaginal lining could be too thin or maybe even inflamed. Vaginal lining gets thin when there are low levels of estrogen and it makes it more prone to irritation after intercourse.
Have you experienced pain during intercourse?

I haven't been bleeding ever since I had sex...my first time was this past Christmas, and on the occasion I bled a small amount and continued to bleed for small amounts for the next couple of days.

This happens every time after I have sex, and so far I have had intercourse only four times, even though I don't know if the first one counts so much because it hurt so much I asked him to pull out. I have experienced a slight discomfort at the time of entry during intercourse, but it goes away after a couple of minutes, depending on the position.

The last time I had sex was yesterday and I bled after this and continued to bleed for the rest of the day, but it ceased today. What could this indicate?

I think that bleeding after intercourse should be taken seriously. Sex should be joy and enjoy but if you experience bleeding after something like that-it can’t be good and would only make you anxious and you may even experience problems with sexual desire later on if this continues or causes additional problems.

I already told you that I had cervical polyps that were causing my bleeding and I managed to get rid of them successfully. There are other conditions and also growths that can appear in the uterus or vaginal wall as well as some sexual infections that can cause bleeding.

I honestly think you should make an appointment at the gynecologists office and see what it is all about.

I had the same problem - except worse! The first and second time (a few weeks apart) i was "frisky" lets say with my then boyfriend (no sex), after some fingering the vaginal opening widened. Since i was a virgin it wasnt very wide to begin with. Some girls dont bleed, some girls bleed a little, while others bleed a lot. Seconds time of fingering a bled again. And this was a lot of bleeding, i was extremely scared. After that it stopped until a year later when i had sex. If you continue to have sex and the bleeding persists even if you have regular intercourse then you definetly need to get that checked out. But remember, its a muscle too and it needs to be stretched out. Theres a lot going on down there so if while widening you accidently rip and begin to bleed no worries. As long as it doesnt hurt (Which is shouldnt!).

Good luck!

well i think my bf's size is TOO big for my vagina but i still dont know for sure so i might check the gynecologist...

i hope to know what exactly is happening to my body, especially my vagina...

Everytime i have sex with my boyfriend i bleed alot during but not so much after, it gets to the point where he has to wash his sheets when were done. I think the reason for my bleeding is because i am a tiny girl and havnt gotton fingered alot or have had sex enough times to be " broken in" ive only had sex about 4 times and those times werent very pleasurable for me. it hurt when he put it in but after it started to go away it didnt hurt alot but it didnt feel good either. is this bleeding something i should be worried about? will it stop? and will sex for me get better and more plesurable in time?

I've only had sex twice and it both hurt and it both bled, however it bled a lot less this second time past, and I just went to my gynecologist recently as in the past two weeks. Is this simply natural?

I'm having the same problem, but for the first time sex. What did your gynecologist say?
