Birth Control causing pregnancy symptoms

I have been on the nuvaring for two years now. Prior I was on the pill but it was too weak so I went on the patch and then was allergic and switched to the nuvaring and have not had a problem. I have never missed a period, ever. I was wondering the nuvaring or birthcontrol could cause pregnancy symptoms because I took my ring out the week I was suppose to, had sex that next day, and then never got my period that week. I began and still have extremely sore breasts, with what feels like pinching at times, nasuea an dizziness that is constant, some vomiting, and frequent urination. I took a blood pregnancy test at the two week mark and it said it was negative. Could my birth control be causing these symptoms?
