Are steroid injections for thoracic buldging disks helpful?

What is the treatment recommended in thoracic buldging? I think that the buldging is cause of irritation of nerve root and pain in legs and feet. My grandfather has this problem. I know that steroids are given for pain in sacral, but not in thoracic region. Are steroid injections helpful fir thoracic buldging? Thanks.

My father use to get epidural steroid injections in thoracic region. They are very helpful in reducing numbness and pain caused by nerve irritation. He got 3 injections in last 6 months. Doctor said that it can be repeated even up to 3 times in 6 months if needed. But steroids have number of side effects and so its use should be limited.
