Anyone get insomia and or anxiety when their period starts

I stopped taking Ortho Tri Cylcen lo in December- after that I have had major problems. I have had 2 periods and am now on my 3 one since stopping the pill.. Everything it comes, I get a bit nervous, irritable and can not sleep for days... They told me it was Generalized Anxiety..not buying it- never had it before......
