Actos and weight gain

Hi, I have been prescribed with Actos and it is efficient in regulating blood glucose level, but I have gained weight. Is there a better medication?

Hi, I am also overweight but I suppose it is because I constantly overeat. My meds have successfully regulated the disease by now, without some big side effects. I've tried other Type II diabetes medications but Actos has had the best effects for me. But, my fiend had leg and ankle swelling, belly bloating, and lethargy. The biggest problem for me was level of the glucose in the morning. However, I have been using it for a few months before full effectiveness was seen. Perhaps, you can start some other medication and see if there is a difference.
