ADDERALL AND BABY...

Hello everyone...my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a while and I was wondering if anyone new the side effect of adderall...

1. Does it make getting pregnant more complicated

2. Is the baby at risk if I'm on it when I get pregnant and don't know

I take it for my ADHD and wanted to know if I need to discontinue use.

so please help me!!! Any comments will be helpful!

Hi - I just saw this post & wanted to give you my experience. I do not think it makes getting pregnant anymore difficult & my doc told me that the first 21 days post conception (2wks or more from lmp) should not be a cause of concern since baby gets none of blood flow from mother. After that window of time it is a risk & would not suggest taking this medicine. Although there is no hard evidence to really support how much risk, I know it increases odds of chromosomal disorders, miscarriage & birth defects. Just make sure you are keeping an eye on your ovulation & periods so you discontinue if you do get pregnant.
